Son of Harmonium Maestro Jyoti Goho, Sourabh started learning tabla from a very tender age of five. At the age of seven, he started learning under the Legendary Tabla Maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh. He is also taking tabla lessons from maestro Bickram Ghosh.
In October 2010, Sourabh received National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
In June 2013, he made his International debut at Shanghai, China and in August 2013 he performed a tabla solo under the lotus feet of Swami Vivekananda at Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata.
In January 2014, he played a Jazz concert at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi for American Institute of Indian Studies. In March 2014, Sourabh performed at The Mathieson Music School, Thakurpukur, Kolkata and conducted a tabla workshop for promotion of Indian music among the youth. Recently, he has performed at various venues in Kolkata including Rabindra Tirtha, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture and Satyajit Ray Auditorium, ICCR as a co-artist.
In November 2014, he accompanied his father Maestro Jyoti Goho’s Harmonium Solo at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
In 2015, Sourabh had conceived an Indian Classical Ensemble with instruments like Saxophone, Flute, Sarod, Sarangi & Tabla. He has played classical concerts in India Habitat Center (New Delhi), Epicenter (Gurgaon) and Rabindra Sadan (Kolkata) among others.
Presently Sourabh also performs with Indian Classical & World Music Fusion Band, Indian Blue.
